Yvonne Tigner Obituary, Death – It is with great sadness that we share the news of the demise of our dearly loved Yvonne “Von” Tigner, who was a loving sister of David, who was also affectionately known as Pimp. This tragedy has a significant impact on our family, as we are still coming to terms with David’s passing as well as the deaths of other cherished members of our family.
Our souls are heavy with grief, and the tears are pouring out of our eyes in abundance. We will never get over the loss of Von; he was our family’s beating heart. The hole he leaves behind will never be filled. We ask that you keep Von’s mother, Lynn, in your thoughts and prayers, as she has now suffered the incomprehensible loss of both of her children.
This tragedy has been very difficult for her. During this incomprehensibly trying time, we urge you to keep Lynn, as well as Popeye, Tray, and Tia, near to you in your thoughts and prayers. At North Clayton Middle School tonight at 6:30 p.m., educators from all throughout CCPS will join for a Candlelight Vigil to honor the memories of our great friend, colleague, parent liaison, and community stalwart, Ms. Yvonne Tigner. Her life and work will live on in our memories and our hearts forever.
A cornerstone has been removed from the North Clayton Family. Yvonne Tigner, who is fondly referred to as “Tig,” has discovered that she can rest securely in the arms of the Lord. Tig was the rock of support, offering assistance in the form of nutrition, clothing, and transportation to any scholar or family that was struggling to make ends meet.
Even though hearing this news is difficult, we take comfort in the knowledge that she is now at peace in paradise, where she is probably entertaining the saints with her one-of-a-kind style of humor. Tia, her daughter, wanted us to relay her message and demonstrate how much her mother loved the schools, the students, and the entire town. Tia also wanted us to express how much her mother cared about the community. Tig, you will always be remembered with love and affection in our hearts. A genuine angel has been brought to the Northside.
