Tony Wood Obituary, Death –Anthony “Tony” E. Wood, age 52, a resident of Folsom, California, and formerly of La Porte, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 24, 2019. He was previously employed in the construction industry. His birthplace was in Indiana. Tony Wood was born on May 29, 1966 in the city of Elkhart in the state of Indiana. Ernest and Sandra (Winningham) Wood were his father and mother, respectively.
In the city of Santa Clara, California, Tony put in his time as a Landscape Architect for the company Verde Design, Inc. His coaching responsibilities included the Folsom Jr. Bulldogs as well as the La Porte Pop Warner teams. Tony graduated with a degree in 1991 from Purdue University. where he also participated in the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity while he was a student there. Tony often introduced himself by saying that he was a “husband, father of two, and coach to many.”
On September 27th, 1991, Tony Weliver tied the knot with Laura, and she is still living now. In addition to his wife, Laura, Tony is survived by his mother, Sandra Wood of Elkhart, Indiana; his two brothers, Andrew Wood and Anson (Marla) Wood, both of Elkhart, Indiana; and his two sons, Alexander Wood of Rapid City, South Dakota and Elijah Wood of Junction City, Kansas. The man who had been his father, Ernest, had already passed away before he did.
On Monday, March 4, 2019, there will be a time of sharing at 7:30 p.m., followed by visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Essling Chapel of the Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, located at 1117 Indiana Avenue in La Porte, Indiana.
