Tony Gay Obituary, Death – George A. “Tony” Gay, 74 years old, from New Holland, Pennsylvania, fell away unexpectedly while on a hunting trip with members of his family in Dauphin County. He was the devoted spouse of Dawn Lucille Basom Gay, a woman with whom he had a happy marriage that lasted for 36 years. He was the son of John Theodore Gay and Pearl Marie Romig Gay, both of whom passed away and was born in Coatesville.
Tony spent the majority of his life as a local inhabitant. Between the years 1969 and 1972, he was a member of the United States Army, during which time he was honored with the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with the 60 Device, and the Army Commendation Medal. He worked as a maintenance mechanic at the VA Medical Center in Coatesville, which was his place of employment.
In addition to this, he was a devotee of Jesus Christ and attended the Worship Center located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Tony cherished spending time in nature and enjoyed activities such as fishing, hiking, and hunting. He also had a passion for traveling, and some of his favorite destinations included the ocean and the mountains with his family.
He was easygoing and upbeat by nature, and he enjoyed joking about and playing games to pass the time. He was constantly tinkering with something and had a passion for repairing and constructing various objects. He had a strong faith in the Lord, which guided him in his day-to-day life. He was a fantastic family guy who worked hard. He was always willing to help others. He worked hard. He will be remembered as such. Tony had a lot of fans, and he will be missed by everyone here.
