Tennie Hall Obituary, Death – With heavy hearts, we announce the gentle loss of Tennie McGuire Hall, 80, a beloved member of the Eden community, on November 5, 2023, early in the morning at her home. Tennie left an impression on everyone who knew her by her unwavering faith, devotion, and sense of community. Tennie McGuire was born on December 15, 1942, to Walter and Callie McGuire.
Her life’s journey was marked by love, selflessness, and a steadfast adherence to her beliefs. Her parents, siblings James McGuire and Calvin McGuire, Sr., sisters Nancy Ward and Becky King, and grandson Drayven Hall before her in death. In the hearts of those who loved Tennie, their memories and hers will always be treasured. Tennie McGuire Hall attended Eden, North Carolina’s Spray Baptist Church regularly. She was a dedicated member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church for more than 25 years prior to this, where her passion for teaching Sunday School to children ages four and five and for singing in the choir shined clearly.
She had an enormous influence on the church community, and her absence will be sorely felt. After completing her studies at Morehead High School in 1961, Tennie went on to Randolph Community College to obtain an associate’s degree in Office Systems Technology. Her career at Rochester Midland Corporation, where she devoted her skills until her well-earned retirement, was shaped by her dedication to education and professional excellence.
Through her life, Tennie served as an example of the importance of religion, community, and the enduring power of love. Her kind disposition, devotion to helping others, and unshakable love for her family will live on in the memories of everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
Our thoughts and condolences are with Tennie’s family and friends during this time of bereavement. I hope that these trying times will be eased by the recollections of her laughter, the discernment of her advice, and the warmth of her presence. Let us honor Tennie McGuire Hall for the love she gave and the lasting impression she made on those who were lucky enough to call her family and friends as we say goodbye to a much-loved member of the community.
