Steve Knight Obituary, Death- We regret to inform you of the demise of Steve Knight, a much-loved member of our community, who passed away on September 16th. Steve, a native of Halesowen, was a beloved member of the HACC family and an iconic personality in the sport of cycling.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the records of our organization. Steve Knight’s undying love for riding was displayed throughout his entire life. He exemplified the values of friendship and fair play that are so important to the people of HACC, where he has been a member for life.

His dedication to cyclocross was unparalleled, and in 1999 he won the National Championship thanks to his skill and perseverance. Beyond the walls of our club, Steve proudly donned the colors of his country and displayed his talents on the world scene a number of times. His success served as an example to other ambitious bikers, both in and out of our community.

Steve’s influence went much beyond the world of horse racing. He was more than just a great sportsman; he was a dear friend to many. His friends and teammates admired him for his genuine nature, infectious laugh, and constant encouragement. Steve’s positive energy brightened the lives of everyone he met, and his generosity changed the world.

To Steve Knight’s loved ones, devoted teammates, and countless friends he made during his incredible journey, we express our sincerest condolences and sympathy today. We are saddened by your loss, and join you in celebrating the life and accomplishments of a genuine champion in and out of the racetrack.
