Ross Anderson Obituary, Death – On the gloomy evening of November 11, 2023, Ross Anderson, an energetic spirit from LaSalle, Ontario, passed away, leaving behind a legacy weaved through his significant contributions to the field of technology. Ross, who had already accomplished much in his 55 years, said his final goodbyes. Ross spent his formative years in London, Ontario’s Saunders Secondary School, where  he developed a love of learning.

He went to the University of Windsor to study business administration in 1990 and 1991, satisfying his insatiable appetite for knowledge. He went on to study Business Information Systems in depth at Fanshawe College in order to gain the particular knowledge he was after. Ross’s career journey began with Auto Administrator International Incorporated, where his technical skills and aptitude for solving problems flourished in the role of Support Technician.

As a Programmer Analyst at Emco Limited in London, Ontario, his career flourished thanks to his skill in traversing intricate systems. Ross went international and widened his views by taking a job in Maumee, Ohio as a Systems Analyst with Aktion Associates, Inc. His career in technology continued at Daly.commerce in Troy, Michigan, where his skill at dissecting complex systems won him praise and recognition.

Ross was drawn to IGT, a software engineering firm in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada, by the city’s reputation as a hub of cutting-edge technology. His desire to have a lasting impact on the world of technology led him back to his native Canada, where he now works as a Software Engineer for Imanet in Windsor, Ontario. Ross’s dedication to the LaSalle Stompers Soccer Club, outside of his professional achievements, exemplifies his dedication to community and togetherness.

His kindness and generosity shone through in his voluntary work, and many around him took notice. Not only in LaSalle and Windsor, but also in the wider technological community, Ross Anderson’s untimely passing has left a gaping hole in many people’s lives. His lifelong commitment to creativity and technical mastery resulted in a body of work that continues to serve as an inspiration to others who seek to follow in his footsteps. As we say goodbye, we remember Ross Anderson as a pioneer in his field and a beloved member of our community.
