Ronney Kenitahana Obituary, New Zealand High Commission-Honiara, Solomon Islands Mourns Death Of Ronney Kenitahana

Ronney Kenitahana Obituary, Death – Our hearts were filled with sorrow when we learned of the demise of Ronney Kenitahana, who served as the Team Leader for the Solomon Islands New Zealand Alumni Community (SINZAC). The position that Ronney played required him to bring a great deal of excitement and passion, and he left an impression on the lives of everyone he came in contact with.

He was an outstanding representative of New Zealand’s alumni community and made a significant impact on our alumni network. His noteworthy successes with the team include the launch of SINZAC in 2022 and the staging of two different NZ Pacific Mission delegation visits to the Solomon Islands in 2019 and more recently in April of this year.

These visits took place in 2022 and April respectively. We owe him an enormous debt of gratitude for the leadership role he played in sculpting the alumni community. Even though Ronney received his education at AUT in Auckland, he is a devoted fan of both the All Blacks and the Crusaders, and whenever we host an event for alumni, he never fails to find a way to taunt his other alumni friends about the sport of rugby.

The NZHC team and the alumni community will miss him very much. We are keeping his friends and family in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Kua hinga he totara i te wao nui a Tane | In the Tane forest, there has been a totara treefall. This whakapapa (Maori proverb) is used out of respect and honor for a powerful member of the community who has moved on to the next life after passing away. Ronney Kenitahana, may you finally rest in peace.
