Richard Gallegos Obituary, Death – We are sorry to inform you that Richard Gallegos, who was born in Monte Vista, Colorado, and formerly resided in Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away on October 26, 2023. He was born in Colorado, and his old home was in Grand Junction. He had 73 years under his belt. His siblings Joe Gallegos, Isaac Gallegos, Solomon Gallegos, Dorothy Gallegos, and Lidia Gallegos all passed away before him, as did his step-father Bill Simmons. He was the last of his family members to pass away. Ella Gallegos and Jake Gallegos, who were his biological parents, both passed away before he was born.
His children, Richard Gallegos of Grand Junction and Rene Gonzales-McKnight of Denver, as well as his siblings, Jake Gallegos, Willie Harrell (Francis), Marcella Manis, and Lorraine Cyr (Paul), are among those who are left behind after he passed away. Lupe Simmons is also among those who are left behind. In addition, he has six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who will continue his family’s lineage once he is gone.
A memorial service was held on the Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the True Life Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. The address of the church is 100 Vista Grande Dr., Grand Junction, CO 81507. On the morning of Monday, November 6th, 2023, at eleven o’clock in the morning, participants at the graveside service held at the Orchard Mesa Cemetery paid their respects to the deceased.
