Phil Mitchell Obituary, Death – We’ve said goodbye to several good friends along the way… We were taken aback by this development. On Monday, our dear friend and the manager of the Lighthouse Family, Phil Mitchell, passed away. This news fills us with a deep sense of loss. Even though many of you probably aren’t familiar with Phil, and even though some of you may have met him at one of our events, it would be wonderful if you could all raise a glass to him with us.
Since the early 1990s, when we first began collaborating with Phil and his partner Keith on our record Ocean Drive, Phil has been an indispensable member of the family. He believed in our band and our music from the very beginning, and he never wavered in that faith. He was very essential to the success of Lifted and Ocean Drive as well as everything that came after them because he was the one who released our tunes to the public. If it weren’t for Phil, nobody would be familiar with our music.
He was a kind and compassionate man who preferred to live his life out of the spotlight. He had a wicked sense of humor, a razor-sharp wit, and the most fantastic soul music record collection. On the road, he was a joy to be around, he never failed to lift our spirits, and he was always there for us in ways that went far beyond what was expected of him.
Phil stepped up to the plate when my daughter Lucy was in the intensive care unit. We will miss having you here among us, Phil. It was a delight to journey through life with you at my side. I don’t want to leave because it seems like you’re still here with me. I don’t want to say goodbye. Have a safe journey, and we’ll catch up with you on the other side. I adore you, my partner.
