Kaycee Desjarlais Obituary, Fishing Lake Beloved Resident Has Passed Away

Kaycee Desjarlais Obituary, Death- Kaycee Lee Desjarlais, 30, left this world on September 7, 2023, and her death has been met with great sadness. She left behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever warm our hearts; she was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend to many.

Kaycee’s mother, Sandra Desjarlais, is still here to provide comfort and support even though she passed away. Janis, Morgan (Loretta), Christina, Wilson, Whitley (Lyndon), Nichole, Michelle, Vernon (Jr.), Danielle, and Kelly are her surviving siblings. They all loved and cared for her deeply.

Kaycee loved her many nieces and nephews very much, and she had a special place in her heart for both of her grandmothers, Mabel Aulotte and Julie Moore. Kaycee’s paternal grandfather, Kenneth Desjarlais Sr., and maternal grandparents, Judy Faithful and Vernon Aulotte, all passed away before she was born.

She is comforted to be back in the arms of her grandmother Christina Desjarlais and grandfathers Joe Desjarlais, Wilson Moore, and Dan Aulotte. Her sister, Jodi Faithful, and her nephews, Trayvon and Jesus, were there to greet her as well. On Thursday, September 21, at the Fishing Lake Communiplex at the Fishing Lake Metis Settlement, there will be a Wake in memory of Kaycee.

At eleven o’clock in the morning, the procession will set out from Grace Gardens, bringing together loved ones who will remember her with stories, laughter, and tears. Friday, September 22, at 2:00 p.m., at the same location, Pastor Maxine Desjarlais will preside over a Funeral Service. To ensure that Kaycee’s spirit is always at peace, she will be laid to rest in the Fishing Lake Community Cemetery.

Kaycee Lee Desjarlais had a profound impact on everyone around her. She left a legacy of love, strength, and perseverance. I pray that her spirit finds rest in heaven and that her legacy will forever uplift and inspire others. We will always remember her as a shining example of goodness and kindness. Kaycee, you will be missed.
