On November 9, 2023, Jonathan, 40, passed away peacefully in the company of his devoted family at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. He was experiencing failure of numerous organs. Jonathan enriched the lives of those around him with his infectious laugh, selfless nature, and unwavering love.
His heart was warm and his soul was gentle from birth. His journey came to a peaceful conclusion with his father by his side, marking the end of a life full of love and meaning. Jonathan’s memorial services will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart on Tuesday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Michelle Kleene will be officiating. The final resting place of Jonathan at the church cemetery will act as a constant reminder of the deep roots he made in the neighborhood he cherished.
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will be open for visitation on Monday, November 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends, family, and neighbors will have the opportunity to gather, share stories, and take solace in one other’s company as they reflect on the extraordinary life of this remarkable individual. Instead of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to his girls’ trust funds at Citizens State Bank of Sacred Heart.
