John Silvera Obituary, Death – We are announcing the demise of Baptist Ambulance Paramedic John Silvera with a great deal of sorrow and a profound sense of loss. John left this world on November 12th, the day after his birthday. John had more than 30 years of experience working as a paramedic, making him a veteran in the emergency medical services field.

In November of 2022, he became a part of the Baptist Ambulance family and immediately left an indelible mark on his fellow team members in the counties of Oxford, New Albany, Attala, and Calhoun. “We have suffered the loss of an incredible teacher and friend.

According to John Brophy, Vice President of Operations for Baptist Ambulance, “John was more than a dedicated paramedic; he was a friend to all that knew him.” “He fought valiantly each day with the goal of getting back to work and continuing to make a positive impact in our community. We shall remember the life lessons that he instilled in us and treasure the companionship that he gave us as a way to honor him.

Baptist Ambulance has offered their assistance to John’s family and friends so that they can get through this difficult period more easily. At this time, funeral arrangements are still being finalized. In the event that counseling and support are required, Baptist Ambulance’s Public Safety Employee Assistance Program is also available to provide assistance.
