John Cowburn Obituary, Death – We were saddened to hear the news of John Cowburn’s passing when we learned about it, and we did so with a heavy heart. Since the beginning of the Sheldon Field construction project, John has been active in everything that has to do with the endeavor.
The knowledge, resourcefulness, and amount of time John has given to the project are all reasons why the field is in such good form today. John deserves credit for the amount of time he has spent working on the project. John wasn’t only contributing to the Sheldon Field project; rather, he was involved in everything that had anything to do with Cropwell Butler.
If there was a job that needed to be done, John would accomplish it before the bulk of us even noticed there was a problem that needed to be fixed! We are all going to miss him very much, and we hope that we will be able to continue the upkeep of the field in a manner that he would have approved of. We are all going to miss him very much.
This year, our Annual General Meeting will take place at the village hall on Tuesday, November 28 at 7:00 p.m., and we would like to offer an invitation to anybody who is able to assist in the running of or the maintenance of this vital community resource. I pray that you, John, will finally find peace.
