Jean Smith Obituary, Death – We report with great regret that Jean Smith (née Davidson), a cherished Benarty woman, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, at the age of 81. A pillar of the community, Jean leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and treasured memories that those who had the honor of knowing her will always carry with them. In addition to being a devoted mother to Thomas, Loraine, Tracy, William, and Robert, Jean was the adored wife of the late Tommy.
She became a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and neighbor to everyone who was lucky enough to be in her life, demonstrating her nurturing nature even beyond her immediate family. Throughout her 81 years, Jean’s generosity, kindness, and unshakable love affected many people’s lives. Her presence brought solace and happiness to the community, weaving memories into a fabric that will last for many years. Jean’s warmth with friends and neighbors, as well as the family she leaves behind, will always carry on her legacy.
A funeral liturgy for Jean will take place on Monday, November 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Kenneth and Bernard’s RC Church in Ballingry. Ballingry Cemetery will be the site of the burial, with the cortege arriving at approximately 11 a.m. We kindly invite all friends and family to this service as we say goodbye to a great woman who had a profound impact on many people’s lives.
We send our sincere condolences to Jean’s family, friends, and the whole Benarty community during this difficult time of grief. As we all remember and honor the life of a woman whose legacy will always shine bright in our hearts, please feel free to spread the word about this announcement.
