Jamie Gumb Obituary, Massachusetts Lifetime Resident Has Sadly Passed Away

Jamie Gumb Obituary, Death – On Saturday evening, March 20, 2019, Jamie (Quealey) Gumb, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away as a result of metastatic breast cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing. She attended Syracuse University for both her undergraduate and master’s degrees, as well as the Massachusetts School of Pharmacy, where she graduated from after graduating from Bishop Guertin High School.

Jamie’s entire life was directed by a strong desire to assist people, and this aspiration was manifest in her professional life. Her first position in the professional world was in the vaccines department at Merck & Co. She then went on to teach biology at Lawrence High School and Greater Lowell Tech, where she was able to pass on her passion for the subject to her pupils, before deciding to pursue her true calling and become a physician’s assistant.

Up to the time of her passing, she was employed in the orthopedics department of Southern New Hampshire Health Solutions in Nashua. Being Addison and William’s mother brought her the greatest happiness of her life. Since Jamie’s first date with her future husband, Rob, 16 years ago, the couple has lived in Lowell and raised their children there. She was the ideal partner and “mummy” that any man or woman could have asked for. She cherished spending the summers at Seabrook Beach and the winters on ski vacations with her children.

Jamie was a brilliant, fun-loving person who served as an example to a great number of people on how to enjoy one’s life to the fullest. From the time she was in college until the day she celebrated the birthdays of her cherished children, she was always the life of the party. Jamie has left a mark and made a significant impression on everyone she has ever met and every place she has visited. She leaves behind some of the most beautiful experiences, as well as a community that will continue her work.
