Daniel Dunbar Car Accident, Obituary, Death – Following a protracted illness, Mr. Daniel Scott Dunbar, 42, of Mechanicsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Memorial Regional Hospital of Hanover. Cecil and Debra Dunbar, who live in Chester, are the deceased person’s parents; they survive him.
He is also survived by his brothers, Andrew (Terri) of Disputanta and Tim Dunbar of Manchester, England. He also leaves behind Lindsey Dunbar, his niece, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. His grandparents, Lonnie and Avis Dunbar of Chester, his uncle, Danny Maggard of Hopewell, and James and Rosalie Maggard of Hopewell all passed away before the deceased individual. Danny was up in Hopewell and received his high school graduation from Broadway Christian School.
The individual in question was employed as a project manager at Scaffolding Solutions of Richmond for more than ten years. He was fiercely dedicated to this career, which he regarded in the highest regard, right up until just before his passing. Danny loved the Boston Red Sox, the Colts, Virginia Tech, his dogs, Jackson, Layla, and Jasper, and his large family.
Friends and relatives will have a chance to visit and offer their condolences on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. This event will take place at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, which is situated at 820 W. Broadway Ave., Hopewell, VA 23860. The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Davis serving as the celebrant. Following the service, the deceased will be laid to rest at Chester’s Sunset Memorial Park.
We deeply appreciate the compassionate and dedicated care provided by the doctors, nurses, and hospice team at Memorial Regional Medical Center of Mechanicsville, as well as the CCU staff, during the patient’s last moments.
Donations in memory of the deceased can be sent to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) or the athletic department at Broadway Christian School.
