Crystal Mathis Obituary, Texas, Funeral Services And Celebration Of Life

Crystal Mathis Obituary, Death – Crystal Mathis of Texas has sadly passed away. On May 8, 1994, in El Paso, Texas, she was welcomed into the world by Andrew C. Mathis and Cathy C. (Kell) Mathis. The only relatives she has left are her mother, Cathy (Mike) King of Morton, IL; father, Andrew Mathis of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Desarae Baggs of Pekin, IL, and Rachel Mathis of Morton, IL.

Girlfriend, Alyssa Heyl of Peoria, IL; and one nephew and two nieces. Her son, Colter Wettstein, and daughter, Cairah Wettstein, reside in Metamora. Both her paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother departed from this life before her. Crystal loved spending time with her two beautiful children. They all cherished the times they had together, visiting parks and watching their favorite television series. Mother Crystal was a devoted and kind individual.

Crystal grew up with a family that loved horses and the beautiful outdoors. Crystal wrote her own songs and played the guitar, and she had a wonderful sense of music. She joined the Peoria Music Community Women’s Coop, where she made friends and enjoyed sharing music with like-minded people. There, she was free to express herself verbally and musically.

Crystal continued to be closely involved with the Young Republicans of Illinois and discovered a new passion. Crystal was a supply specialist in the US Army Reserves. In the military, Crystal was an expert marksman and enjoyed going target shooting with her friends. She was really proud of herself for finishing her military career. She also cherished her hobbies of modeling and photography. She was glad that she had documented her story, hoping that others who might have encountered the same difficulties in the future might find it useful. Crystal had a wonderful heart for her friends and family, and she will be deeply missed.
