Colleen Keigher Obituary, Death- On the evening of Wednesday, the world lost a special person when Colleen S. Keigher, a resident of Champaign, Illinois, passed away suddenly. Her premature death at the age of 33 has brought unfathomable grief to her loved ones and the people she touched in her short life.
Colleen, who was born was a bright spot in the lives of anybody lucky enough to know her. Everyone she met was won over by her cheerful personality and generous nature. She brought joy to every occasion she attended as a devoted daughter, sister, and friend.
Colleen’s body was located on Interstate 72 around milepost 182 on the night she died, not far from where the freeway ends at Country Fair Drive in west Champaign. They tried their best to save her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene early Thursday morning.
Tragically, Colleen’s death may have been the result of a hit-and-run. The details surrounding her death remain unclear. Our community is waiting patiently for answers while the Illinois State Police investigate this tragic incident. Those who knew and loved Colleen will always feel an empty space in their lives because of her passing.
