Charles Raines Obituary, Death – Millwood, West Virginia, lost a beloved member of its community on September 20, 2023, as Charles Keith Raines peacefully passed away at the age of 78, surrounded by his loving family, just as he had wished. Keith, as he was fondly known, had left an indelible mark on his hometown, having dedicated nearly four decades of his life to a career as a meat cutter at the Big R Supermarket and later at Food Fair in Ravenswood.
Born on August 4, 1945, to Boyd and Hallie Raines, Keith was a devoted Christian, known for his unwavering faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family. For 57 years, he stood by the side of his beloved wife, Bonnie Fields Raines, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.
Keith was a proud father of three daughters: Vanessa Pizzdongo (Eric) of New Egypt, NJ, Pamela Braham (Paul) of Dingess, WV, and Michelle Durst (Ronnie) of Mt. Alto. His six beautiful grandchildren, Nicole, Kayla, Brianna, Dillon, Jed, and Ryder, were a source of immense pride and joy. Furthermore, Keith was blessed with four very special great-grandchildren: Anthony, Cheryl, Rachelle, and Elektra.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his sisters Faye, Janet, Wanda, Geraldine, Macie, and Hazel, as well as his brothers Joe, Dick, Roy, and Daris.
Services to celebrate Keith’s life will be held at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley. Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 24th, from 6-9 p.m., with the funeral service scheduled for 12 p.m. on Monday, September 25th. Keith will find his final resting place in the Raines Cemetery, Kenna.
