Bethany Bagwell Obituary, Death – The town of Somerset, Kentucky is struggling with the sudden death of a beloved resident. On November 10, 2023, 38-year-old Bethany Nicole Bagwell passed away, leaving behind distraught friends and relatives. Bethany was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky on July 16, 1985. Her parents were Susan M. Held Garrett and Kenneth Bagwell.
Her life was characterized by her love of the small things in life, her faith, and her family. She went to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she felt connected and comforted. Bethany loved animals, and she was especially fond of them. She found happiness and companionship in the presence of her furry friends. Her passion for life was evident in all of her pursuits, but she especially enjoyed reading, swimming, and the rush of water parks.
Her passion for learning brought her to Western Kentucky University, where she studied for three years. Sadly, Bethany was predeceased by her aunt Vicki Susan Bagwell, step-grandparents Carl and Wanda Garrett, grandparents Luther and Geneva Bagwell, and grandma Stella Clara Stancil Held. There is an incalculable gap left behind by her.
Dr. Richard Held, Bethany’s grandfather, and her children Zachary Martin Reynolds and Brianna Nicole Reynolds survive her. Her parents, Susan Garrett and Kenneth Bagwell, also survived her. Along with a large number of cousins and friends, her extended family consists of her sister Andrea Renee Smith, stepsister Jill Buckley, stepbrother Shawn Killen, uncle Rick Held, aunts Sharon Howard and Pamela Held, niece Garrah Paige Vanover, and great-aunt Della Stancil Rose.
On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 12 p.m., there will be a visitation at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Bro. Chris Jasper and Bro. Danny Rowland will preside over the funeral ceremony, which will end at 3 p.m. The Southern Oaks Cemetery will be the site of Bethany’s funeral.
In a heartfelt remembrance of her, the family asks that contributions be made to her children’s fund for their benefit rather than flowers. The arrangements for Bethany Nicole Bagwell, whose life will be lovingly remembered and treasured in the hearts of all who knew her, are entrusted to Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
